I walked over Ochomogo Pass

Yesterday I walked over Ochomogo Pass. Which might not make much sense with explanation.
The Ochomogo Pass is the main pass over the continental divide in Costa Rica, between the Pacific and Atlantic sides of the country. And if this sounds like a romantic mountain journey---well, there is actually just a big freeway that goes over the pass, and it is loud and probably a dumb thing to do to walk along the side of the freeway for an hour just to have bragging rights that I've walked over the pass.
But that is what I did with my Friday.
And now it is Saturday, and I am somewhat tired after all that exertion!

Heh, a rather smaller scale thing, but every so often I feel like walling across the Severn Bridge between England and Wales. That's also along a motorway, though at least there there's a pavement. I admire you for going through with your walk!

Well, this is an example of, perhaps "familiarity breeds contempt", or maybe of "The grass is always greener".
For someone in the UK, walking across the Severn river on a bridge probably sounds prosaic and every day...and walking across a mountain pass in Central America probably sounds like a thrilling adventure.
But for me---I just walked across a boring highway for an hour that had things like gas stations and tire change places on either side. To me, it just felt like a boring old walk. And I just looked at those beautiful cable bridges across the Severn, and to me, that seemed like an adventure!

That is a fair point! Somewhat related, I must admit it always amuses me when I go through one of those meme surveys aimed primarily at Americans and one of the questions is "Have you ever visited a castle?" If you count fortified manor houses, there are probably a dozen or so within a 50-mile radius of me.
